MK Reston-Herndon-Great Falls Review of Wegmans Delivery by Instacart

January 3, 2018

As most of you know, I have two little kids. I think grocery shopping with them can be challenging, to say the least! We also make all of our meals at home, so we need to go every week and our trips aren't quick. Long list of grocery items + little kids + busy holiday season = tired mom! So I was really excited to learn I could get my Wegmans groceries delivered to me. Wegmans delivery by Instacart is a service that utilizes a personal shopper to take care of your grocery shopping for you. We love Wegmans and do all of our grocery shopping there, except this time I was at home, sipping a cup of coffee, while my kids played with their toys. It was relaxing! An adjective I have never used to describe grocery shopping until now.

I thought using Instacart to select my Wegmans groceries was very easy. Just login to Instacart, choose your items, pick your delivery time (can be in as little as an hour!) and place your order. Remember to enter your Wegmans Shoppers Club number to get the best available price. I thought the site is very user-friendly. I also loved being able to message with my shopper while she was picking up my items. One of the items I ordered was out of stock, so she messaged me a replacement item for my approval.

Your shopper will deliver your items right to your door within the specified delivery time. The frozen items were still frozen, nothing was broken or crushed, and everything was packaged well. All of my items were saved on my Instacart account. This makes my next Wegmans delivery order even faster since I won't need to add the same items again.

I tried the service for the first time last week, and absolutely loved it! You can watch a quick video about my experience below:
