Reston Town Center Christmas Tree Lighting on November 24, 2017
- This Tree Lighting is part of a whole day of holiday festivities. The Tree Lighting takes place in Fountain Square at 6:00 p.m., along with a Sing Along of traditional Christmas songs. Before the Christmas Tree Lighting in Reston, the popular 27th Annual Reston Holiday Parade will take place. A cast of more than 1,400 performers and groups from around the region will march, sing, dance, and drive in a one-hour, half-mile procession through Reston Town Center. The parade begins at 11 am and will feature giant float balloons, marching bands, dancers, antique cars, characters, community groups, dignitaries, and much more, capped with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage. Earlier in the day, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., tots to teens can take part in the annual Gingerbread Man Mile races with a small registration fee to benefit a children’s charity. After the parade concludes around noon, Santa and Mrs. Claus will stay for visits and photos, and Mini-Train rides will be offered on Market Street until 4:30 p.m.
Annual Tree Lighting and Sing Along in Herndon on December 2, 2017
- This Annual Tree Lighting, hosted by the Dulles Chamber of Commerce, will include carols and a visit from Santa.
Celebration of Lights at Great Falls Village Centre Hill on December 3, 2017
- Drink hot cider or chocolate and listen to seasonal music with your Great Falls neighbors at the 27th Annual Tree Lighting.
