We recently visited Haley M. Smith Park in Herndon. It's located at 324 Van Buren St, Herndon, VA 20170. The park features a playground, a volleyball court with sand, two baseball diamonds, a soccer field, swings, a basketball court and public restrooms. The swing area has basic swings and also includes a tire swing, baby swing, and special needs swing. The playground was really colorful and fun.
The above photo is of the play structure designed for kids 5-12 years old. The below photo is of the play structure designed for kids 2-5 years old with a cute little rocking climbing wall and tunnel.
Pros: The public bathrooms were clean. There are umbrellas on parts of the play structures, and trees around the park for additional shade. There are also some picnic tables under trees. The volleyball court is great for kids who love to play with sand! The park is well-kept and clean.
Cons: The playground isn't securely fenced. The bathrooms did not include a changing table.
Overall, we really enjoyed our trip to this Herndon park!
