Pumpkin Wonderland at Lake Fairfax Park

September 16, 2017

THE GLOW: A Jack O’Lantern experience coming to life in Reston this October!

Get in the Fall spirit with THE GLOW’s enchanting pumpkin wonderland at Lake Fairfax Park! Grab a fall treat and stroll with your family along a trail of more than 5,000 illuminated hand-carved pumpkins. You will experience everything from artistically detailed single pumpkin carvings to amazing, larger-than-life structures. Pumpkin look-a-likes include politicians, musicians, movie stars, superheroes and princesses. The family fun includes costume contests, pumpkin-painting classes, face painting, and live pumpkin carving demonstration to show visitors how to create their own masterpieces.  There will also be many photo opportunities to capture your family’s excitement!

This family-friendly event is not scary and fun for all ages. The trail is wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly.  Although families in the autism community are welcome any time, THE GLOW has set aside a special time with discounted tickets for Autism Speaks.  During this time, the trail will open as the sun goes down but is not fully dark, with quieter music and a brighter atmosphere. Contact THE GLOW at dc@theglowjackolantern.com or 203-900-5051 for Autism Speaks Tickets.

THE GLOW opens on October 5 and will run every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night in October. Don’t miss out on this exciting Fall experience! Advanced tickets are required and can be purchased here: http://www.theglowjackolantern.com/event/washington-dc/#calendar. Use code “MACARONIGLOW” for 20% off tickets. Children 2 years old and under are free.
