Fairfax County Park Authority's is celebrating Family Golf Month this August at three golf courses. For the month of August, parents pay for their 9-hole round of golf and accompanying kids and teens (ages 8-17) will receive their round at no charge. An optional pull cart is also buy one get one free! Just mention Family Golf Month to receive this offer which is valid Monday through Friday all day; and weekends after 1p.m. This offer is limited to one child per paying adult. Jefferson District Golf Course is located at 7900 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA, Oak Marr Golf Complex is located at 3136 Jermantown Road, Oakton, and Pinecrest Golf Course is located at 6600 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria. They are also hosting Club Championships for kids.
- The Junior Club Championships for ages 7 to 17 is Friday, August 11 at 8 a.m. at Burke Lake Golf Center and Saturday, August 19 at 8 a.m. at Oak Marr Golf Complex. Participants are divided into three divisions: 10 and younger, 11 to 13, and 14 to 17. Prizes for first, second, and third in each division will be awarded as well as closest-to-the-pin contests. Cost is $20 at Burke Lake Golf Center and $30 at Oak Marr Golf Complex.
- Jefferson District Golf Course’s Club Championship, open to ages 8 and older, will be held on Saturday, August 19 at 8 a.m. The cost is $60.
- Burke Lake Golf Center’s Club Championship, open to ages 12 and older, will be held on Saturday, September 16 at 8 a.m. The cost is $35.
