Blue Star Museums is offering free admission to the nation's active-duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families from Memorial Day, May 29, through Labor Day, September 4, 2017. There are over 2,000 museums participating across America. The free admission program is offered to those currently serving in the US military and up to five family members. Through this program, my family had free admission to the Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum in Sterling, VA. It is a fantastic museum with many educational exhibits, including a historical "General Store" and a pre-WWI farm kitchen where children can pretend to cook or be a shopkeeper. We highly recommend their wonderful toddler program that occurs on most Tuesday mornings.
